James Clifford Montgomery, 61, died on March 12, 2 014 at his residence in Walton. He was born August 18, 1952, son of Earl and Jean Montgomery. He married Rita Montgomery and she survives in the home.
James was a veteran of the Vietnam War and dealt with many of the effects of that experience throughout much of his life. He enjoyed working in his shop with tools and on cars. He was a fisherman, enjoyed boating and was an avid fan of Western movies.
Survivors: wife, Rith; daughter Jaime Jones; stepson, James Wilson; stepdaughter, Donna Garoutte; brother Johnny Montgomery; sister, Cavette Dake; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Jean Montgomery; and brother, Sammy Montgomery.
A graveside service will be March 17, 2014 at Walton City Cemetery.
