Dale M. Swart

WHITEWATER -- Dale M. Swart, 69, retired truck driver, died Thursday (Feb. 25, 1999) at Halstead Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born March 1, 1929, in Mt. Horeb, Wis., to Archie and Meta (Molle) Swart. He married Jessie Elting September 1961. She preceded him in death June 1965. He married Lorraine Root Dreyer April 1966. She survives. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1947 to 1950. He moved to Kansas in 1958 as an employee of Morgan Drive Away in Newton. Other survivors include: three step-sons, James Elting, Lonnie Dreyer and Monty Dreyer, all of Whitewater; and one brother, James Swart of Janesville, Wis. He also was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Furley United Methodist Church in Furley with the Rev. Ed Friesen presiding.
