Alice Wagner, 94, died January 1 2, 2014. She was born August 31, 1919 in Walton, Kansas to Henry and Elsie Worthington Wright. She married John Wayne Waagner on Maay 8, 1949 in Marion, Kansas.
Alice was an elemenetary school teacher for 40 years at several country schools and in the Newton School District. Wayne died April 4, 1979. She is preceded in death by brothers Harold, Bill and Don Wright; brothers in-law, Marlin Hiebert. She is survived by brother, J. D. (Irene) Writht and sister, Viorginia (Roy) Wagner of ElDorado, Kansas and Jinx Wright of Taos, N.M.; 3 foster daughters, Barbara (Edward) Reimer; Elaine (Richard)Kasitz and Janice Hiebert, all of Newton.
A celebration of her life will be January 17 at the Walton United Methodist Church, Walton, Kansas
