Eugene McVicar. 85, farmer and stockman, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Robert Cole V.A. Medical Center in Wichita. He was born November 29, 1928 in Wichita to Robert and Addie Halhill McVicar. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a U. S. veteran of World War II.
On April 20, 1949 he married Mary Janiice McGinn at Halstead. She survives. Other survivors: son, Tom (Cindy) of Wichita: daughters, Janene (Dennis) Schroeder, Fall River; Gayle McVicar, Sedgwick; Jodi Wallace, Sedgwick; Lori (Terry) Kingsley, Park City; Elaine (Billy) McDaniiel and Sharon (Dan) George, Wichita; 19 grandchildren and one great- great -grandchild
Rosary will be Sunday, January 5 and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 6, 2014. Inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas
