Alvan E. Huston
REDLANDS, Calif. -- Alvan E. Huston,
78, formerly of Newton, died Friday (March 5, 1999) at Kaiser
Permanente Medical Center in Fontana, Calif.
He was born April 2, 1920, to Harry and
Zaida Huston. His mother survives of Redlands, Calif. He married
LaVon Endicott. She survives of Redlands.
He was a 1938 graduate of Newton High
School and attended College in El Dorado. He worked as a locomotive
engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Raymond Craig Huston of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Russ L. Huston of
Redlands, Calif.; two daughters, Kathryn Elyse Berg of Upland,
Calif., and Janette Gay Lilley of San Jose, Calif.; one brother,
Glenn Huston of Redlands, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were at
Emmerson-Bartlett Chapel in Redlands, Calif. Burial was in the
Montecito Memorial Park Cemetery in Colton, Calif.
