Emogene (Brown) Moore
WICHITA -- Emogene (Brown) Moore, 73,
assembly instructor at Boeing Aircraft Co. for 38 years, retiring in
January 1989, died Tuesday (March 16, 1999). She was the sister of
Lois I. Powell of Newton.
She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Newton
to Delmer and Ethel (Morris) Brown. She married Clarence Moore. He
preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Newton High
School. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in her earlier
years. In 1955 she moved to Wichita and became a member of the New
Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member and
served for many years in the church nursery. She also sang in the
choir and served the church in many capacities.
She also was a member of the McAdams
Golden Age Club, where she sang in the choir. She also sang with
Arise Singers and was involved in the Eastern Star.
Other survivors include: another
sister, Wanda M. Jackson of Chicago, three nieces, one nephew and
cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at New Hope Baptist Church in Wichita.
