Margaret Catherine Ramsey
SEDGWICK -- Margaret Catherine Ramsey,
73, homemaker, died Wednesday (March 17, 1999) at Bates Medical
Center in Bentonville, Ark.
She was born May 14, 1925, in Halstead
to Elmer and Agnes Marie (Block) Ropp. She married Jay C. Ramsey Aug.
8, 1943, in Halstead. He survives of Bella Vista, Ark.
She was a longtime resident of rural
Sedgwick, moving to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1992. She was a member of
First United Methodist Church in Halstead.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jim
Ramsey of Spicewood, Texas, and Joel Ramsey of Flower Mound, Texas;
one daughter, Jan Ramsey of Grapevine, Texas; three brothers, George
Ropp of San Marcus, Texas, Gene Ropp of Branson, Mo., and William
Ropp of Hutchinson; two sisters, Glennis Neufeld of Halstead and
Arlene Amis of Wichita; nine grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Halstead with the Rev.
James A. Mardock officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley
Cemetery in Bentley. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at
Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
Memorials have been established with
the Kansas Learning Center for Health in care of the funeral home.
