Edward Thomas Anduss
Edward Thomas Anduss, 89, of North
Newton died Friday (March 19, 1999) at his home.
A retired miller from Consolidated
Flour Mill in Newton, Anduss was born Jan. 4, 1910 in Stover, Mo., to
Harrison Henry and Ollie (Stewart) Anduss. He married Delores Marie
Wolf on May 28, 1976 in Eminence, Mo. She survives,
Anduss worked at Consolidated Flour
Mill for 30 years. He also worked at the Colorado Milling Flour Mill
in Monte Vista, Colo., for three years. He worked at the Shell Oil
Service Station, the Oriental Refining Co., and Haefeli's Honey
Farms, all of Monte Vista.
He was a charter member of the
Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 2456 of Monte Vista.
Other survivors include sons Lynn E.
Anduss of Fort Collins, Colo., Dick A. Anduss of Irving, Texas, and
Reign V. Anduss of Peabody; a sister, Mary M. Zimmerman of Newton;
two step sons; two step daughters; eight grandchildren; 15 great
grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; nine step
grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; three brothers, Melvin Anduss, Henry Anduss and Jack Stuart;
and two sisters, Edith Thomas and Betty Anduss.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m.
Monday at the Walton Cemetery officiated by Rev. Donna Friesen.
Calling times will be 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral
Home in Newton. Memorials are suggested to Hospice, Inc., of Wichita
in care of the funeral home.
