Allen N. Unruh
Allen N. Unruh, 73, 2805 N. Main of
North Newton, farmer, died Friday (March 19, 1999) at Newton Medical
Center.
He was born Sept. 14, 1925, in Newton
to Harrison B. and Anna (Schroeder) Unruh. He married Esther Peters
Nov. 28, 1947, in Henderson, Neb. She survives of North Newton.
He was a member of the Bethel College
Mennonite Church in North Newton. He was a graduate of Newton High
School and attended Bethel College for one year.
Other survivors include: one son,
Douglas K. Unruh of Walton; three daughters, Yvonne D. Coulter of
Wichita, Charlotte K. Kreider of North Newton and Suone D. Graber of
Moundridge; one brother, Chester Unruh of Hillsboro; two sisters,
Dorothy M. Schmidt of North Newton and Eunice Esau of Hutchinson; and
seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one
son, Kenneth W. Unruh.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Johannestal Cemetery in rural Hillsboro. Memorial service
will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel College Mennonite Church with the
Revs. Darrell Fast and Steve Yoder officiating. Friends may call
until 9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
today at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Bethel College or American Diabetes Association in care of the
funeral home.
