Lester C. 'Buss' Davis
Lester C. "Buss" Davis, 81,
of Newton, retired employee of the city of Newton in the water
service department, died Wednesday (March 24, 1999) at Columbia
Wesley Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 22, 1917, in Newton to
Charles and Hilma A. (Rapp) Davis.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: one sister, Helen M.
Slack of Newton; one nephew; and one niece. He was preceded in death
by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Vogt.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Monday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alden
Dick from First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
There will be no memorials.
