Hesston: Richard E. 'Dick' Kaufman, 71, died January 26, 2014 at Pine village, Moundridge, Kansas. He was born September 29, 11942 to Dick and Lizzie Yutsy Kaufman in Hutchinson. He graduated from central Christian High School, Bethel College, University of Wyoming and Wichita State University. He was a techer and coach for Northridge High School in Middlebury, Indiana, Nickerson High School, Nickerson, Ks. and Haven High School, Haven, Ks.
On August 10, 1966 he married Brbara Annette Claassen in Beatrice, Nebraska. She survives. Other survivors: daughters, Mara Kaufma, Durham, N. C. and Christine Schweitzer and husband, Brad, Gilbert Arizona and granddaughter Rianna Schweitzer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Kenneth Troyer.
Memorial services will be January 30 at Hesston Mennonite Church, Hesston, Kansas. Private family inurnement will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston.
