Claude N. Wohlschlegel, 87, died Sunday, Januaary 19. 2014 at Asbury Park in Newton. He was born November 30, 1926 in Wichita to George and Mary Esslinger Wohlschlegel. He served his country in the U. S. Army. On March 12, 1950 he married Beverly Shultz and she preceded him in death. On October 16, 2004 he married Donna McNelly and she survives of the home.
Claude was a retired plumber. He attended First Church of Christ in McPherson with his wife, Donna. He enjoyed bowling and earlier in life he enjoyed bird huntiing. Claude was always tinkeriing and fixing things around the house.
Survivors: wife, Donna D., of McPherson; daughters, Sherry Shinkle(William) of Andover; Cindy Rambo and Janet Fulmer (Barry) of Newton; brothers Thomas (Loretta) of Goddard and Elton (Cheryl) of Lexington, Oklahoma. He also is survived by his wife Donna's children; Nelda Slider, Kingman; Dala (Skip) Tesar of Atkinson, Nebraska; Darrel (Theresea) McNelly of Kingman; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly and his parents.
Services will be January 24 at First Church of Christ in McPherson. A graveside comittal service will be at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in rural Newton.
