Gertrude M.'Trudy' Dillman
Gertrude M. "Trudy" Dillman,
81, 904 W. 10th, retired employee of the Santa Fe Railroad, died
Monday (April 5, 1999) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St.
Francis Campus.
She was born Dec. 8, 1917, in Newton to
William A. and Martha (Sadowski) Scheffler. She married Milford S.
"Mick" Dillman Jan. 18, 1942, in Newton. He preceded her in
death March 9, 1986.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church, Altar Society of the church and American Legion Auxiliary,
all of Newton.
She was a graduate of Newton High
School and Wichita Business College.
Survivors include: one son, Lon Dillman
of North Platte, Neb.; one daughter, Susan Davis of Newton; five
brothers, Arthur Scheffler, Jim Scheffler and Morris Scheffler, all
of Newton, Harris Scheffler of Wichita and Bill Scheffler of Colwich;
three sisters, Doris Beyrle, Elaine Barham and Maxine Friend, all of
Wichita; and four grandchildren.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m.
Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton. Funeral services
will be at 10 a.m. Friday also at the church with Father Ken
Schuckman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic
Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today
and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
