Alvina Oblander
HILLSBORO -- Alvina Oblander, 91,
homemaker, died Monday (April 5, 1999) at Kansas Christian Home in
Newton.
She was born Sept. 26, 1907, in Durham
to Ezra and Katie (Kaiser) Lorenz. She married Emanuel E. Oblander
Sept. 25, 1927, in Durham. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1999.
Survivors include: one son, Stuart
Duane Oblander of Arvada, Colo.; one brother, Clarence Lorenz of
Hillsboro; two sisters, Pearl Lorenz of Hillsboro and Vernedda N.
Klein of Durham; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She
also was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Lorenz.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carolyn Schwarz
officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Kansas Christian Home or Central Homecare and Hospice in care of the
funeral home.
