Elsie M. McElmurry
HESSTON -- Elsie M. McElmurry, 88,
homemaker, died Saturday (April 3, 1999) at her home in Hesston.
She was born April 12, 1910, in
Oklahoma to George E. and Mary C. (Turner) McGregor. She married . O
Webster McElmurry Feb. 24, 1933, in Missouri. He preceded her in
death.
She was a member of Whitestone
Mennonite Church in Hesston and also former member of Bethel
Mennonite Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. She and her husband
farmed in Missouri before moving to Wichita and then to Hesston.
Survivors include: three sons, S. Argie
McElmurry of Florida, Leon W. McElmurry of Goshen, Ind., and Terry
McElmurry of Elkhart, Ind.; four daughters, Wilma N. Hamner of
Avondale, Colo., Cora Belle "Corky" Shenk of Hesston,
Patricia A. Murphy of Columbia, Mo., and Claudia E. Miller of
Shipshewana, Ind.; one sister, Lillian Lakey of Marysville, Wash.; 15
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m.
Monday at Whitestone Mennonite Church in Hesston with the Revs.
Michael Bogard and Louise Wideman officiating. Burial will be in the
Hesston Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.
