Paul Banman
Paul Banman, 72, 213 S.W. Third, died
Sunday (April 11, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born April 27, 1926, in Goessel
to Samuel J. and Selma (Schmidt) Banman. He married Irene Bender
Sept. 21, 1951, in Moundridge. She survives of Newton.
He was employed at Newton Tractor and
Implement Co. for 26 years. He also worked at RV Equipment part time.
He was a member of Faith Mennonite
Church in Newton. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers, attending
his grandchildren's sport events, auctions and musical concerts.
Other survivors include: two daughters,
Sharon S. Fox and Paula K. Steele, both of Newton; two brothers,
Kermit Banman of Hesston and Leroy Banman of Edmond, Okla.; three
sisters, Elda Banman of Goessel, Mary Ann Bartel of Drake,
Saskatchewan, Canada, and Linda Schmidt of Newton; and three
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one
brother, Milton Banman.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday at Faith Mennonite Church with Pastor Gordon Smith
officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may
call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association in care
of the funeral home.
