Donald Duane Spencer, 76, of Wichita was born November 13, 1937 in Newton to Donald B. and Gladys Buller Spencer. He passed away January 20,, 2014 at his home in Wichita. He married Marianne K. Waltner on September 26, 1964 at First Presbyterian Church iin Newton.
They were married 49 years. He enlisted in the military in 1955. While serving iin the military, he played trumpet in the Army band. He loved the lord, gave willingly and was a friend to many. He was a cariing husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, infant Gary Spencer, Larry Spencer and Richard Spencer.
Survivors: wife, Marianne of the home; son, Troy (Tiffany) two granddaughters, Maclaine and Madison Spencer, all of Wichita.
Services at Petersen Funeral home with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
