Grace C. McKellip

Grace C. McKellip, 77, 1304 W. Eighth, homemaker, died Friday (April 16, 1999) at her son's home in Newton.

She was born March 21, 1922, in Ellsworth County to Henry and Minnie (Gustafson) Larson. She married Henry M. McKellip May 31, 1947, in Wichita. He preceded her in death April 2, 1999.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church, and Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, all of Newton and Sterling Silver Threads in Sterling.

She was a former Avon lady. She enjoyed quilting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include: two sons, Chris McKellip and Olin McKellip, both of Newton; one brother, Hiram Larson of Lindsborg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She also was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, Kermit Larson and Laymer Larson.

Funeral services were today at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald Gloe officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund or Central Homecare and Hospice in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
