Lois Irene (Kauffman) Roth
HESSTON -- Lois Irene (Kauffman) Roth,
83, homemaker, died Wednesday (April 21, 1999) at her home in
Hesston.
She was born Nov. 24, 1915, at home
south of Hesston to James and Mabel (Erb) Kauffman. She married
Vernon E. Roth Feb. 9, 1935, in Hesston. He preceded her in death
Nov. 5, 1992.
She was a member of Hesston Mennonite
Church.
Survivors include: three daughters,
Joanne Roth of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Becky Roth of Hesston and Marci
Huxman of Moundridge; one son, Lowell Roth of Hesston; one sister,
Melva Kauffman of Hesston; two brothers, Daniel Kauffman of Goshen,
Ind., and Robert Kauffman of Issaquah, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one
daughter, Brenda Roth; three sons, Jim Roth, Stan Roth and Phil Roth.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m.
Saturday at Hesston Mennonite Church with the Rev. Cheryl Hershberger
officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends may
call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.
Memorials have been established with
Hesston College or Crooked Creek Christian Camp in Washington, Iowa,
in care of the funeral home.
