Raymond E. Seeney
Raymond E. Seeney, 81, 622 Myrtle,
retired lead man at Cargil Flour Mill in Newton, where he worked for
37 years, retiring in 1977, died Monday (May 17, 1999) at Friendly
Acres Retirement Community.
He was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Elbing to
Dan and Myrtle (Lobaugh) Seeney. He married Anita M. Salas Jan. 19,
1969, in Newton. She survives of Newton.
He was a member of Our Lady Of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton.
He served in the U.S. Army during World
War II.
Other survivors include: three sons,
Alan Seeney and Bill Seeney, both of Peabody and Michael Seeney of
Newton; two daughters, Beverly Harris of Troy, Texas, and Barbara
Walker of Georgetown, Texas; four sisters, Ruth Chance of Kansas
City, Virginia Hensler of Emporia, Juanita Johnson of Newton and Edna
Harper of Great Bend; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be
at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with
Father John Hotze officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m.
today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the American Cancer Society
in care of the funeral home.
