Marjorie E. Zarnowski. 88, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Presbyterioan Manor, Emporia, Kansas. She was born December 15, 1925 in Goessel to Edward and Elizabeth Regier Unruh.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from WSU and taught private lessons out of her home in Halstead, later becoming music director at Disability Supports of the Great Plains in McPherson. She ws a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Emporia; Legion of Mary, Music Teachers National Assoc. and was a Charter Board Member of Disability Supports of the Great Plains.
On September 2, 1945 she married Clarence E. Zaarnowski at Newton. He preceded her in death June 30, 1998.
Survivors: son, Roger (Becky) Zartnowski, Edgewood, Kentucky; daughters; Catherine Schoenecker, Wichita; Joyce (Bob) Jones, Wichita; Marian (Gary Johnson), Olpe; Loretta (Brent) Ewing, Wichita and Susan Zarnowski, Olpe; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Rosary will bee March 28 with the Mass of Christian Burial tofollow at 2 pm. Inturnment will follow at Halstead Cemetery.
