Gwen Barkman
Gwen Barkman, 36, food service trainer
for McDonalds Restaurant, died Monday (May 24, 1999) at Kansas
Christian Home in Newton.
She was born Nov. 22, 1962, in Goessel
to Jake and Edith (Elstin) Barkman. Her mother survives of Topeka.
She was a member of First Baptist
Church in Newton, where she was involved in church activities. She
was a 1981 graduate of Newton High School.
Other survivors include: one brother,
William Barkman; and three sisters, Susan Smith of Wichita, Becky
Jantz of Newton and Rachael Paz of Seattle.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Alden Dick officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens of Memory. Friends may call until
8 p.m. today at Hillside Funeral Home -- Newton.
Memorials have been established with
Kansas Christian Home Fellowship of John in care of the funeral home.
