Valene M. Ferguson 85, former Halstead and Ashbury, Missouri resident died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Hesston. She was born February 14, 1929 at Minden Mines, Missouri to Lute Alfred and Ida Mabel Ward.
She worked as a CNA and medical transcriptionis at Halstead Hospital and the Hertzler Clinic. She served as church secretary at First United Church in Halstead.
On Janury 2, 1948 she married Normand Guy Ferguson at Pittsburg. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1012
Survivors: son, Ronald Ferguson, Cheney; daughter, Trish Byler, Hesston; 4 grandchildren and 8 great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Lester and Morris Ward; sisters, Velma Ward; LaDoris Seely; Mildred Gintner; Myrtle Parsons; Viva McConnell and Lucille Abercrombie.
Funeral services will be Friday,March 21, 2014 at Kaufman Funeral Homd. Burial will be at the Halstead Cemetery
