Ethel Irene French
Ethel Irene French, 79, of El Dorado
died today (June 1, 1999) at Kansas Christian Home in Newton.
She was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Towanda
to Ruben Dell and Edith Annice (Wynkoop) Hummel. She married Clifford
W. French Aug. 17, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death
Sept. 22, 1991.
She was a self-employed bookkeeper. She
lived most of her life in the area. She was a member of Park Avenue
Baptist Church, Eastern Star, White Shrine and Garfield's Women
Relief Corps.
Survivors include: four brothers,
Mervin Hummel and Harry Hummel, both of El Dorado, Roy Hummel of Fall
River and Robert Hummel of Mountain Home, Ark.; and three sisters,
Thelma Elder and Velma Betty, both of El Dorado; and Esther McCloud
of Newton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at
Carlson Colonial Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment will follow at
Walnut Valley Memorial Park.

Homecare and Hospice of Harvey County or Park Avenue Baptist Church
in care of the funeral home.
