Nina Mae Shaffstall
BELLE PLAINE -- Nina Mae Shaffstall,
93, of Belle Plaine, homemaker, died Saturday (July 10, 1999) at
Friendly Acres Retirement Community in Newton.
She was born July 28, 1905, in Lincoln
to Lucian and Ora May (Horner) Brown. She married Virgil "Bud"
Staffstall in 1926. He preceded her in death.
She was past Noble Grand of the Rebecca
Lodge, chart member of Art Guild and Garden Club and member of Belle
Plaine United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Lowell
Shaffstall of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; one daughter, Shirley Ann Lane of
Hillsboro, Ore.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and
one great-great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by three
brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln with the Rev. Harry Liggett
from Belle Plaine United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at
Petersen Funeral Home.
