Henry Irvin Spratt
WHITEWATER -- Henry Irvin Spratt, 74,
retired flour mill superintendent and present owner of H. I. Electric
in Whitewater, died Friday (July 30, 1999) in Whitewater.
He was born May 22, 1925, in Downs to
William LeRoy and G. Bernice (Bailey) Spratt. He married G'Ola
Hindman Feb. 16, 1947, in Whitewater. She survives of the home.
He was a member of The Federated Church
in Whitewater, where he served on the board of trustees. He also was
a member of Masonic Lodge in Newton and a 50-year member of Masonic
Lodge. He was Past Master of Whitewater Lodge No. 180, member of
Newton EOS Chapter No. 5, past worthy patron of Whitewater Rose
Chapter of OES, Wichita Consistory and Shrine.
He was past member of Whitewater City
Council and present member of Whitewater Planning Commission. He was
past Boy Scout Master, where he had two young boys who became Eagle
Scouts during his service. He was an honorary member of A.O.M. He
lived in Whitewater for nearly 74 years.
Other survivors include: two brothers,
Paul Spratt of Enid, Okla., and Jack Spratt of Whitewater; and one
sister, Lois Ballance of El Dorado.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at The Federated Church in Whitewater with Pastor Scott
Martin officiating. Masonic graveside service will be in the
Whitewater cemetery following the service.
Friends may call until 8:30 p.m. today
with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Bob Lamb
Funeral Home in Whitewater.
