George H. Weis
George H. Weis, 65, 916 S. Poplar, died
Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at his residence.
He was born Oct. 16, 1933, to Guy
Everett and Mary (Brozek) Weis. He married Barbara Sue Foiles June
20, 1959, in Newton. She preceded him in death July 14, 1998.
He was employed by Santa Fe Railroad,
retiring after 45 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during
World War II.
Survivors include: three sons, Dale E.
Weis, Ken G. Weis and Marion R. Weis, all of Newton; and three
grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents and
step-mother, Jennie E. Weis.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m.
Friday at Restlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Rick Fox from
Liberty Baptist Church in Newton officiating.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at
Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Central Homecare and Hospice in care of the funeral home.
