Mary A. Fast
Mary A. Fast, 82, 227 Windward Dr.,
died Monday (Aug. 9, 1999) at her residence in Newton.
She was born March 18, 1917, in Salix,
Iowa, to Arthur and Agnes (Brousard) Richard. She married Curtis Fast
Oct. 28, 1957, in New London, Conn. He survives of Newton.
She was a clothing model for Saks Fifth
Ave., in Chicago, and a sales representative for Magnum's retail
stores. She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church in
California.
She enjoyed cooking, volunteer work for
church, gardening, flowers and home decorating.
Other survivors include: one son,
Richard Lee Kanoski of Bourbonnais, Ill.; one step-son, Dean C. Fast
of South Hutchinson; half-sister, Florence Reniche of Bourbonnais,
Ill.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers
and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday
at Newton Bible Church with the Revs. Ted Veer of the church and
Alden Dick of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the
Halstead Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today
and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Newton Bible Church in care of the funeral home.
