Pearl Ruth Lewallen
Pearl Ruth Lewallen, 81, 2029 Joann,
died Monday (Aug. 16, 1999) at Halstead Hospital.
She was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Jerauld
County, S.D., to Jacob and Mary M. (Mogck) Hasz. She married Vern W.
Lewallen Nov. 11, 1939, in Jerauld County, S.D. He survives of
Newton.
She was a member of United Methodist
Church in Horton and Altar Society.
Other survivors include: one son,
Michael V. Lewallen of Newton; two daughters, Saundra K. Crider of
Newton and Connie S. Smith of Everest; one brother, Harold Hasz of
Wessington Springs, S.D.; 12 grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four
brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Thursday at Salem United Methodist Church in Newton with Rev. C. Kent
Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may
call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting friends
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
