Robert B. 'Bob' Stephenson
Robert B. "Bob" Stephenson,
72, 609 W. Eighth, retired in 1991 from insurance sales with Bankers
Life and Casualty Insurance Co., died Friday (Aug. 20, 1999) at
Newton Medical Center.
He was born April 5, 1927, in
Hutchinson to Bert Leslie and Chole Pauline (Eisminger) Stephenson.
He married Anna Lee Andrews Oct. 1, 1954, in Hoisington. She survives
of Newton.
He was a member of First Presbyterian
Church in Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and
Hutchinson Community College. He served in the U.S. Navy during World
War II.
Other survivors include: three sons,
Robert Stephenson and Timothy Stephenson, both of Newton, and Mark
Stephenson of Wichita; three grandchildren; and two
step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two
brothers, Ned Ullyses Stephenson and B.L. Stephenson.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David
Keazirian from St. Luke Presbyterian Church officiating. Graveside
service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in
Hutchinson.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30
p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
St. Luke Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
