Hazel B. Flock
Hazel B. Flock, 84, 1200 E. Seventh,
died Sunday (Aug. 22, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born May 11, 1915, in Apache,
Okla., to William and Cama Lucretia (Boothe) Manning. She married
Audress Flock in 1934. He preceded her in death June 1979.
She was an English professor, where she
retired from Barton County Community College in Great Bend. She moved
to Newton in 1993, and to Newton Presbyterian Manor in 1997. She was
a member of Bella Vista Christian Church in Bella Vista, Ark.
Survivors include: two sisters, Wilma
Miller of Bentonville, Ark., and Margie Dzinbal of Palmyra, N.Y.; and
numerous nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one
sister, Helen Partridge, and two brothers, Brink Manning and Byron
Manning.
There will be private family services.
Memorials have been established with
Newton Presbyterian Manor in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
