J.C. Witter
J.C. Witter, 92, 200 S.W. 12th, died
Thursday (Sept. 2, 1999) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community.
He was born May 6, 1907, in Salem,
Ind., to Edgar and Maggie (Baynes) Witter. He married Thelma Monzingo
Nov. 21, 1931, in Great Bend. She survives of the home. He served in
several administrative positions at Southwestern College in Winfield
for more than 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Heights United
Methodist Church and lived in Newton for more than 20 years.
He was preceded in death by a son,
William, and a sister, Lois Grey.
Other survivors include: a daughter,
Maridene Akin of Crested Butte, Colo; a sister, Lillian Epley; and
five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m.
Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Friendly Acres Retirement Community Chapel with the Revs.
Don Swender, Henry Murray and Preston Price from Trinity Heights
United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn
Burial Park in Hutchinson.

College, Trinity Heights United Methodist Church or Friendly Acres
Retirement Community in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
