Jack Edward Moody
Jack Edward Moody, 70, 300 W. Fifth,
Apt. 5-C, died Tuesday (Sept. 21, 1999) at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Salina to
Rex M. and Doris L. (Cornett) Moody.
He was retired owner and operator of
Jack Moody's Cossires Beauty Shop. He was a member First United
Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte, Fla. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time at the
Newton Area Senior Center playing cards and bingo. He also enjoyed
attending arts and crafts shows.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dyann
Koehn of Aberdeen, Miss., and Cindy Jo Petersen of Mount Pleasant,
Texas; two brothers, Michael Moody of Wichita and Robert Moody of
Dodge City; two sisters, Martha Knudsen and Betty Boldenow, both of
Newton; step-mother, Kathleen Karlowski of Wichita; four
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents
and one daughter, Sherry Moody.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m.
Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery with Brother Riley E. Abel of Harmony
Baptist Church in Wichita officiating.
Memorials have been established with
the Newton Area Senior Center in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
