Ellen M. Groves
HESSTON -- Ellen M. Groves, 72, of
Hesston, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at Hutchinson Hospital in
Hutchinson.
She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Kansas
City to Charles W. and Verda Alta (Post) Lewallen. She married Roy J.
Groves Jan. 1, 1946, in Nickerson. He preceded her in death Sept. 13,
1986.
She was a former member of the Full
Gospel Assembly Church in Hutchinson.
Survivors include: four daughters, June
Groves of Hutchinson, Jane Tash of Hesston, Karen Witter of Phoenix,
and Patsy Smith of Jetmore; three sisters, Wilma Bennett of Wichita,
Alta Groves of Whittier, Calif., and Patsy Larkin of Paola; three
brothers, Howard Lewallen of Milton, Wash., and Harold Lewallen and
Thomas W. Lewallen, both of Montezuma; eight grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her
parents, one sister and two brothers.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson with Rev. Luanne
Hadaway presiding. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery
Garden of Devotion.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at
Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Association and the American Diabetes Association in care of the
funeral home.
