Dr. Thomas F. Morrow
WICHITA -- Dr. Thomas F. Morrow, 77, of
Wichita, retired psychiatrist, died Sunday (Oct. 24, 1999). He was
the first medical director of Prairie View Hospital in Newton.
He was a captain in the U.S. Army
Medical Corps. He was a avid bicyclist and completed Biking Across
Kansas (BAK) eight times. He graduated from St. John's University in
Collegeville, Minn., and Marquette University Medical School in
Milwaukee, Wis., where he earned his medical degree.
He was a former member of St. Joseph's
Catholic Church in Wichita. He was chairman of Kansas Division of
American Cancer Society and Boy Scout troop leader.
He established his private practice in
psychiatry in Wichita in 1951, where he retired in 1998. He also was
founding member of St. Francis Hospital's Department of Psychiatry.
Survivors include: wife, Evelyn Morrow
of Wichita; four sons, Kevin Morrow of Tucson, Ariz., Timothy Morrow
of New York City, and Christopher Morrow and Daniel Morrow, both of
Wichita; two daughters, Deborah Vaughan of Evanston, Ill., and Sheila
Morrow of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, John Morrow of Grand
Rapids, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were today at St.
Mary's Cathedral in Wichita.
