Edythe Rossiter
Edythe Rossiter, 89, 420 McLain,
retired homemaker, died Wednesday (Nov. 3, 1999) at Friendly Acres
Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 23, 1910, in Iola to
Jess and Martha Belle (Lewis) Anderson. She married Pat Rossiter
March 3, 1938, in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of Missionary Society
and Hall's Chapel AME in Newton.
Survivors include: one son, Floyd
Wright of Newton; three daughters, Helen McClellan of Newton, Karolyn
Ford of Oklahoma City and Gloria Lawson of Oakland, Calif.; 24
grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m.
Monday at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with the Rev.
Phillip Kratzer officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery
in Newton.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 8
p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
There will be no memorials.
