Blanche Reiss, 75, of Newton died today
(Nov. 10, 1999) at St. Joseph Hospital in Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene in Newton with Pastor Larry
D. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home.

Blanche E. Reiss
Blanche E. Reiss, 75, 1416 W. Sixth,
died Tuesday (Nov. 9, 1999) at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City,
Mo. She was an employee at Midland National Bank and office manager
at Hehr International.
She was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Newton
to Titus and Elizabeth Horst. She married Richard James Reiss in
1946. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a lifetime member of The First
Church of the Nazarene in Newton. She was an active volunteer at
Presbyterian Manor.
She was a 1942 graduate of Newton High
School.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joyce
Claassen of Beatrice, Neb., and Nancy Craemer of Leawood; one
brother, Orville Horst of California; three sisters, Grace Ketterman
of Leawood, Edith Orndoff of Newton and Doris Regier of Elbing; and
four grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m.
Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Larry D. Morgan
officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
