Roberta Ann Morris
PEABODY -- Roberta Ann Morris, 69, of
Peabody, a retired secretary, died Thursday (Nov. 18, 1999) at
Friendly Acres in Newton.
She was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Ness City
to James Stephen and Nora Frances (Morris) Coleman. She married Carol
Wayne Morris Sept. 17, 1949, in Syracuse. He preceded her in death.
She and her family resided in Arkansas
City from 1952 to 1978, where the children attended public schools.
The family then moved to Peabody.
Survivors include: three sons, James W.
Morris of Hoisington, David W. Morris of Newton and Steven W. Morris
of Wichita; one daughter, Donna LoRee Hall of San Antonio; one
sister, Norma Lee Smith of Springfield, Colo.; five grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her
parents.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Baptist Church in Peabody with the Rev. Rodger Charles
officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Ashton.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
today at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.
Memorials have been established with
Kansas State University Basic Cancer Research in care of the funeral
home.
