Dr. Brenda G. Gangel
BURRTON -- Dr. Brenda G. Gangel, 54, of
Burrton, died today (Jan. 4, 2000) at Columbia Wesley Medical Center
in Wichita.
She was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Newton
to Phillip H. and Ruth (Ashcraft) Adrian. She married Dr. Michael
Gangel May 22, 1971, in Newton. He survives of Burrton.
She was a lifelong Harvey County
resident. She was a farmer and veterinarian and practiced in
Moundridge for 30 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Halstead, the Kansas Veterinary Association, the
American Medical Association, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, the Kansas
State University Alumni Association and past president of USD 369
Burrton board of education. She graduated from Kansas State
University in 1971, with a degree in veterinary medicine.
Other survivors include: one son, Todd
A. Gangel of Lawrence; and one daughter, Megan Pearce of Lincoln,
Neb.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and one sister, Pamela K. Robinson.
Parish rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead. Funeral mass will be 10
a.m. Friday at the church with Father Paul Oborny officiating. Burial
will be in the Hesston Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston. Memorials have been
established with Victory in the Valley in care of the funeral home.
