Ethel May Goodmon
CLAREMORE, Okla. -- Ethel May Goodmon,
75, of Claremore, Okla., died Sunday (Jan. 2, 2000).
She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Emporia.
She married Thomas C. (Dude) Goodmon Dec. 8, 1946, in Newton. He
survives of Claremore.
She lived in Newton and was a 1941
graduate of Newton High School. She attended Wesley School of Nursing
in Wichita. She lived in Neodesha, where she worked for a doctor's
office and also at Wilson County Hospital. She also lived in
Colorado, where she practiced nursing.
She enjoyed bowling and playing bunco.
She was active in the Sabre Club and was a member of Eastern Stars.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Michael Goodmon of Burlington and Thomas Clark "Tommy"
Goodmon of Claremore, Okla.; one daughter, Tami Peck of Claremore,
Okla.; two sisters, RosaLee Greer and Helen McKelvey, both of Newton;
one brother, Howard T. Pickett of Masa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one
brother, Gaylord Maples; and one daughter, Shirley Smith.
Funeral services were Jan. 5, 2000, at
Rice Funeral Service Chapel of the Garden in Claremore with the Rev.
David Jenkins officiating. Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
