Stanley T. Roupp, 61, died Friday (January 14, 2000) at his home in Hesston.
He was born January 12, 1939 in
Hutchinson to Paul Ervin and Gertrude (Troyer) Roupp. He married
Linda (Schmidt) Plenert May 13, 1977, in Newton. She survives of Hesston.
He and his wife was co-owner of S and L
Construction and Insulation Inc. in Hesston. He was a member of
Hesston Mennonite Church and Newton Bowling Association. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and his
fruit orchard.
Other survivors include: three sons,
Stephen Roupp of Lock Port, Ill., Bryan Plenert of Moundridge and Lance Plenert of rural Newton; one daughter, Stephanie Roupp of Cortez,
Colo.; two sisters, Carol Jean Weber of Washington State, and Nadine
Stapleton of Lyons; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his
parents; and one son, Scott Roupp.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m.
Monday (January 17, 2000) at Hesston Mennonite Church with Pastor John Murray
officiating. Friends may sign the book from 1:00 to 9:00
p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with
Central Homecare and Hospice or Center for Basic Cancer Research at
Kansas State University in care of the funeral home.
