John J. Kirkpatrick
FLORENCE -- John J. Kirkpatrick, 69,
retired truck driver, died Sunday (Jan. 16, 2000) at his residence in
Florence.
He was born Oct. 9, 1930, in rural
Newton to John and Ruby (Weigand) Kirkpatrick.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He served
in the Korean War. He lived at Florence for about five years. He grew
up in the Burns community and had lived in several towns in central
Kansas.
He was a life member of the VFW Post
971 in Newton.
Survivors include: two brothers, Ronald
Kirkpatrick of Florence and Gary Kirkpatrick of Newton; and one
sister, Evelyn Sidener of Burns.
Inurnment services will be 2 p.m.
Saturday at Wonsevu Cemetery in rural Burns with the Rev. Steve
Thaden officiating.
Memorials have been established with
American Diabetes Association or Florence Ambulance Service in care
of Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence.
