Magdalena M. Flores
Magdalena M. Flores, 92, of Newton,
homemaker, died Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2000) at Kansas Christian Home in
Newton.
She was born March 19, 1907, in El
Paso, Texas, to Lino and Lusinda (Vasquez) Reyes.
She lived in Newton since the early
40s. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in
Newton. She enjoyed making ceramics and crocheting, where she made
many items for the family. She also enjoyed animals and flower
gardening.
Survivors include: three sons,
Guadalupe Garcia of Wichita and Ines Flores and Paul Flores, both of
Newton; four daughters, Mickie Perez of La uente, Calif., Baleria
Brown of Newton, Maggie Villaolbos of Covina, Calif., and Mary
Anderson of Hutchinson; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and
three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one
brother, Turburcio Reyes; and one great-granddaughter, Tina Marie.
Recitation of Rosary will be 7 p.m.
Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral services
will be 10 a.m. Saturday also at the church with the Rev. Floyd
McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday and Friday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
