Mabel (Hill) Robertson
WHITEWATER -- Mabel (Hill) Robertson,
96, of Whitewater, retired secretary, died Sunday (Feb. 6, 2000) at
Whitewater.
She was born Feb. 5, 1904, in Newton to
William C. and Effie Lurene (Abbey) Hill. She married John Schmitt
Jr. He preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1947. She married Arthur O.
Robertson July 20, 1949. He also preceded her in death.
She and her husband John farmed south
of Newton. She later moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., with her husband
Arthur. She worked in the administration offices of the St.
Petersburg school system. After retirement she moved back to
Whitewater. She was a resident of Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.
Survivors include four nieces and three
nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Thursday at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater with the Rev. Scott
Martin officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8:30
p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Wheat State Manor Van Fund or The Federated Church in care of the
funeral home.
