Frank G. Clayton
Frank G. Clayton, 57, of Newton, died
Monday (Feb. 14, 2000) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born July 8, 1942, in Ozark
County, Mo., to Chouncey Giles and Ola Evelyn (Stone) Clayton. He
married Cheryl Algrim March 24, 1962, in Stafford. She survives of
Newton.
He worked for Williams Natural Gas Co.
He also was a writer of Christian music. He was a member of Columbus
Avenue Church of Christ in Newton.
He enjoyed songwriting, woodworking and
gardening.
Other survivors include: one son,
Matthew David Clayton of Wichita; two daughters, Michelle Diane
Ostlund of Mt. Hope and Anne Nevills Melanie of Garden City; three
sisters, Maxine Smith of Howard's Ridge, Mo., Geneva Martta of
Cleveland, and Delois Honeycut of Overland Park; and six
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; one son, Michael Clayton; and two brothers, Charlie Clayton
and Jesse Clayton.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m.
Thursday at Columbus Avenue Church of Christ with Pastor Bill Denton
officiating. There will be a private burial.

Maude Carpenters Children's Home, 1901 N. Meridian, Wichita KS 67203,
and Columbus Avenue Church of Christ, 101 Columbus, in Newton.
