Anna Endres
Anna Endres, 86, of Newton, homemaker,
died Thursday (Feb. 17, 2000) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born July 28, 1913, in
Whitewater to Frank and Rosa (Adler) Gronau. She married Ed Endres
May 5, 1942, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton. He preceded her
in death April 25, 1984.
She was raised in Whitewater and
attended Whitewater schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church and Altar Society.
Survivors include: one son, David
Endres of Dodge City; two daughters, Mary Wonders of Newton and
Dorothy Randall of Mound City; two brothers, Bill Gronau and Martin
Gronau, both of Newton; one sister, Katherine Overwaul of Wichita;
four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two
brothers, Albert Gronau and John Gronau; and one sister, Mary
McNeill.
Recitation of Rosary will be 7 p.m.
Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton led by Rev. Ken
Schuckman. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday also at the church
with the Rev. Schuckman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's
Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
St. Mary's Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
