Bernice Ione Sell

Bernice Ione Sell, 89, of Newton, retired bookkeeper for McPherson Sentinel newspaper, died Saturday (Feb. 19, 2000) at Newton Medical Center.

She was born July 26, 1910, in Bushton to Franklin O. and Gertrude Louise (Ross) Blaylock. She married Lowell I. Sell Aug. 5, 1961, in McPherson. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1996.

She was a member of Bushton First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 5 in Newton and former member of Chapter 58 in McPherson.

Survivors include: one brother, George Blaylock of McPherson; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.

Memorials have been established with Kansas Christian Home in Newton in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
