Elmer B. Duerksen
Elmer B. Duerksen, 88, of Newton,
formerly of rural Hillsboro, died Friday (Feb. 25, 2000) at Newton
Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 7, 1911, in Marion
County to David and Maria (Friesen) Duerksen. He worked as a farmer
and lived in Newton since 1991. He was a member of Alexanderwohl
Mennonite Church near Goessel.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret
Klaassen of Dodge City.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel. Services will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel with the Revs.
James Dunn and Mark Wiens officiating. Burial will be in
Alexanderwohl Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with
the Mennonite Central Committee.
