Donna Allene Worden

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Donna Allene Worden, 65, died Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000) at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

She was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Newton to Eldo Raymond and Zelma A. (Foster) Bergen. Her mother survives of Newton. She married V. Sam Worden March 22, 1953. He preceded her in death March 21, 1991.

She attended First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, Okla. She was a secretary for Benton and Bowles in Houston. She moved to Oklahoma City five and a half years ago.

Other survivors include: one son, Vernon Worden of Los Lunas, N.M.; one daughter, Janine Wernecke of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Dolores Cook of Oklahoma City, and Nina Hirsch of Dallas; and six grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her father; and one son, Kim Myron "Steve" Worden.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Loren W. Hickerson from Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Levasy, Mo. officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Garden of Memory in Newton.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials have been established with Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
