Eldon R. Gaede
BURLINGTON -- Eldon R. Gaede, 70,
self-employed long haul road trucker, died Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at
his home in Burlington.
He was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Newton to
Jacob and Amelia (Klassen) Gaede. He married Sharon Ziegler May 9,
1975, in Tyler, Texas. She survives of Burlington.
He lived in Burlington since 1975,
moving from Dallas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949 and
the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1952. He was a member of American
Legion Post No. 115 in Iola and Aerie No. 3577 F.O.E. in Burlington.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Eldon Gaede Jr. of Norman, Okla., and Kevin Beasley of Oklahoma City;
three daughters, Sandra Ray of Edmond, Okla., Katherine Beasley of
Duncan, Okla., and Penny Chaney of Springdale, Ark.; two step sons,
Robert Hogan and Thomas Hogan, both of Burlington; two step
daughters, Lynda Coffman and Vicki McDaniel, both of Wichita; 13
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be in the
Graceland Cemetery in Burlington.
Family will greet friends from 7 to 8
p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Hand in Hand Hospice in care of the funeral home.
